VLCTY Cookies

Effective Date: 2025-09-01

1. Introduction

At Alex Andersson Media (VLCTYparts) (“we”, “us”, or “our”), we use cookies on our website to enhance your browsing experience, provide core e-commerce functionality, and analyze how our website is used. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how we use them, and how you can control your cookie preferences.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They help the site function properly, improve user experience, and provide analytical information to website owners.

3. Types of cookies we use

a) Necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the operation of our website and online store (powered by WooCommerce). They enable key features such as:

  • Remembering items in your shopping cart
  • Managing checkout and payment processes
  • Ensuring secure login and session management

Without these cookies, our website and store cannot function properly.

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Stripe may set its own necessary cookies or similar technologies in connection with checkout and payment. Stripe acts as a processor / payment service provider; see Stripe’s privacy notice and our privacy policy for details.

b) Functional cookies

Functional cookies allow the website to remember your preferences — such as language, region, or login details — to provide a more personalized experience.

c) Analytical and performance cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), provided by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC (measurement ID: G-MJVYS0SX4J), to understand how the website is used — for example which pages are visited, approximate location, device/browser type, and how visitors arrived at the site.

GA4 processes personal data (including online identifiers such as a client ID and, where applicable, IP-derived information). This is not anonymous data. IP anonymization / Consent Mode settings reduce what Google may store or use, but they do not make the processing anonymous under the GDPR.

Legal basis: your consent (ePrivacy / cookie banner). GA4 and related tags load only after you accept Analytics in our cookie settings.

Google Consent Mode v2: until you consent, analytics_storage and advertising

storage signals default to denied. After you choose, we update consent and only

then load gtag / GA4. Core Web Vitals: if you accept Analytics, we may also measure performance metrics (LCP, INP, CLS, FCP, TTFB) in the browser and send them to GA4 as events, for a configured share of sessions (GOOGLE_CWV_SAMPLE; default 100%). These events are part of the same Analytics processing.

You can withdraw consent at any time via the Cookies button. Withdrawal stops new Analytics loading; it does not delete historical data already sent to Google (see Google’s tools / our privacy policy for erasure requests).

Processor: Google. Data may be processed outside the EEA with appropriate safeguards (e.g. SCCs) as described by Google and in our privacy policy.

d) Marketing cookies

We may use marketing cookies to track user behavior and deliver relevant advertisements or product recommendations. These cookies may also help us measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. Examples include Google Ads remarketing cookies.

4. Third-party cookies

Our website may include third-party cookies placed by:

  • Google LLC (for Analytics and Ads)
  • WooCommerce / Automattic Inc. (for e-commerce functionality)
  • WordPress.org (for CMS and plugin functionality)

These providers may process data outside the EU/EEA in compliance with applicable data protection laws and standard contractual clauses.

5. Managing your cookies

You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time using the cookie banner on our website. You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that blocking some cookies may affect website functionality — for example, the shopping cart and checkout process may not work correctly.

6. Cookie retention

Cookies are stored for different durations depending on their purpose:

  • Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies remain on your device until deleted manually or until they expire automatically.

7. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect changes in technology, law, or our business practices. The latest version will always be available on this page, along with the date of the most recent update.

8. Contact us

If you have any questions about our use of cookies or this policy, please contact us using the contact form found at the bottom of page Faq and Contact. Another option to connact us is to drop us an email at: [email protected]
